Game, set, match

00How do you know you're okay in poker? Decent... good or pro? Well there gets to a point in poker where cards become less of a factor but your knowledge of how to get the most money with your cards prevail. This is why you will see people getting called with low pairs since, in order to get the most money out of your cards you have to constantly bluff. Makes sense right? So how can you tell if they have nothing or if they have something? Betting patterns and what the board looks like compared to what you think you're opponent should have. Tight people are going to have good cards and loose people are going to have shitty cards. Anyway, if you ever get to this level you have a great deal of passion for the game and its not even about the money... its about the competion... and the money haha.

Here is an example of me calling down someone with ace high... why would I do this.. I'm not actually sure. What went through my mind in this hand was 1. The guy limped in.. and has been limping in constantly. He is 3 away from the button so he must have something decent. 2. The board pairs meaning he will not hit his 1/3 of the time but only like 1/5 of the time now 3. He bets low on the flop with a flush draw out. 4. He bets on the turn then I rr a weak rr on the turn. Okay if you were him.. with high cards what would you do. So before he went all in I thought about it. I felt that I would probably do the same thing if I were him.. well probably not but! It just seems like the most logical choice. So I call and I was lucky right. Luck or skill.. Well poker is based on odds so he could have done it with a number of other hands that beat mine but the odds of him having something that beat my ace high was slim.

Even at this limit though these guys are incredibly tight, weak, and stupid. They don't understand position to card holding ratio. They don't understand that I'm going to steal there blind every time I can if I think I can outplay them since I have position. Also I'm going to bet on the flop 99.9999999999999999% or around 90% of the time. I bet they call I bet again they fold. :> This is free money. No skill required to do this.. you just have to know what to do though if they call in order to do this. Basically all you really need to do though is sit back and wait for those trips :P
